About the consultancy
Who is behind Incurably Wonderful Consulting? I'm Rocio — founder of Incurably Wonderful Consulting. I hold a Master's in Disability Studies with Distinction from Liverpool Hope University and sit as a governor on both the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and on the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Disability Panel. Previously, I founded and directed Incurably Wonderful CIC for four years, working directly with NHS organisations, universities, local councils, public bodies, governance panels, and patient groups. All the services I offer are shaped by my own lived experience of disability and long-term health conditions.
What does "Unapologetically Accessible" mean? It's both a promise about how I work and a description of what I help build. Accessibility here isn't an add-on or a compliance checkbox — it's the standard everything is measured against, without apology or compromise, whether that's how I run my own website and communications or what I help an organisation achieve.
Who do you work with? Two broad groups: First, organisations (employers, NHS Trusts, public bodies, universities, and other institutions) wanting to build genuine disability inclusion, accessibility, and governance practice. Second, individuals — disabled people and people with long-term health conditions — trying to stay in work, return to work, or navigate the systems around both.
How do I know if this is the right fit? If you are an organisation seeking services around disability inclusion, or a disabled or chronically ill person seeking advice, and you want practical, honest support grounded in lived experience and real governance understanding it's likely to be a good fit. If you're looking for urgent legal or clinical advice, this probably isn't the right starting point.
Working with organisations
What services do you offer employers and organisations? Disability Confident Readiness, Pay Gap Readiness, Healthy Working Standard Briefings, the Workplace Navigator Retainer, Patient & Service-User Accessibility Reviews, Board & Governance Disability Literacy Training, and Website & Digital Accessibility Audits. Each is built around a specific, current piece of the UK disability policy landscape — see the Employers page for full details.
We're not sure which service we need — can you help us work that out? Yes — that's exactly what the initial conversation is for. Tell me what issues you need help with and I'll help identify what specific services will help you, rather than assuming you need everything at once.
Do you only work with large organisations? No. Pricing and scope adjust to organisation size — a small charity and an NHS Trust will get very differently scoped engagements. Get in touch and I'll be upfront about what's realistic for your size and budget.
Is the Workplace Navigator Retainer confidential from the employer? Yes, and this is deliberate. Individual employees using the retainer get confidential, one-to-one support that doesn't route through their line manager. The organisation receives only aggregate insights — never anything that could identify an individual employee.
Working with individuals
What services do you offer individuals? Access to Work Navigation, Stay & Return Support (for people newly diagnosed, managing a long-term condition, or returning to work after time away), and Housebound & Bedbound Employment Support, which is built specifically around asynchronous, energy-limited communication rather than fixed appointments.
I'm housebound or bedbound — will this actually work for me? Yes — that's specifically what the Housebound & Bedbound service is designed around. Support happens by written message, voice note, or occasional call, at whatever pace suits your capacity, with no penalty for going quiet during a difficult stretch and picking back up later.
Do I have to book a call? No. Email, written contact, or voice notes are all genuinely fine — you can choose whatever works best for you, and this is offered as standard, not as a special accommodation you have to ask for.
Can you give me legal, medical, or welfare/benefits advice? No — I'm not a lawyer, doctor, or welfare rights adviser, and I'll always say so directly rather than overstep. Where possible, I'll help point you toward the right person rather than guessing.
Is what I share with you confidential? Yes. Your information is treated with care and discretion, and you only need to share as much as you're comfortable with, especially at first.
Pricing
Do you publish your prices? No, we will reply to any specific enquiry with a tailored quote. This is because we have a variety of offerings and both employers and patients receive a personally/organisationally tailored service. Please enquire at info@incurablywonderful.com so that we can talk about your specific needs.
Is individual-facing support priced differently from organisational work? Yes, deliberately. Support for individuals is priced significantly lower than organisational services, because we believe this should be affordable for the people who need it.
What happens in the initial conversation — is it paid? No, the initial conversation is free and no-obligation. It's simply there to work out what support might help and whether we're the right fit for each other.
Accessibility and the site itself
Is this website actually accessible? That's the goal, genuinely, not just the branding. The site aims to follow WCAG 2.2 AA — clear language, good colour contrast, keyboard navigation, alt text, and captions where relevant. Full detail is in the Accessibility Statement.
What if I hit an accessibility barrier on this site? Please tell me — which page, what happened, and what would help. I'll do my best to fix it. Communication access needs are always welcome, and replies are aimed for within five working days.
Can I get information from this site in another format? Yes — get in touch and I'll do my best to provide what you need in the format that works for you.
Still have a question?
If your question isn't answered here, a short message is enough to start — you don't need to have everything worked out first.
